The 2025 patrick vega memorial swim-a-thon

In 2025, the Patrick Vega Swim Scholarship came together on Saturday, March 22nd, to honor Patrick’s life and legacy.

There we swam 28x100s in honor of Patrick’s 28th birthday. Amy Vega taught water aerobics. Donations raised supported our local swim and learn to swim communities for the upcoming Summer!

This swim-a-thon brought the largest high school participation since the first swim-a-thon. We are grateful for everyone support and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Thank you for supporting

Our 2025 Scholarship Recipients

SNAP with Stepping Stones

SNAP provides socialization, wellness, and water safety for children with special needs. This year, our scholarship continued to provided funding for adaptive swim instructors and individual swim lesson scholarships, ensuring that students receive lessons tailored to their specific needs!

Oxnard High School

As the alma mater of Patrick and Kate, Oxnard High School remains an annual recipient. Past donations have funded new swim equipment and allowed the water polo teams to participate in competitive tournaments, helping students excel by the end of their seasons.

Pacifica High School

We are proud to continue supporting Pacifica High School’s aquatics programs. Last year, Pacifica High School raised the most money out of the participating high schools. We thank them for their continued participation and look forward to supporting a competive program.

Channel Islands High School

This year we are excited to announce a new scholarship recipient, Channel Islands High School! Amazed by Coach Carly Jones’ dedication to teaching her students how to swim, we wanted to support! Last year they had a great turn out and we look forward to supporting a much needed program!

Del Sol High School

Del Sol High School is our second new recipient of the year! With a new school and aquatics program, Del Sol High School has very limited resources. Instead of a monetary donation, we invested in the program by donating a variety of swim products. These included boys and girls swimsuits, pull buoys, swim paddles, kickboards and goggles.
